Friends School

The following agenda was agreed upon on the 19th of October 2001 by seventh and eighth grade:

1. Cleaner streets in the city (less trash--potholes--broken glass--stray animals--abandoned cars)

2. Education (too many students in classroom--more after school programs--not enough schools for disabled and special ed.--more teachers--improve curriculum--too many ugly school buildings)

3. Poverty--Homeless

4. Drugs--Alcoholism

5. Crime

6. Abandoned Buildings

7. Racism--Discrimination

8. Safety in neighborhood and schools

9. Pollution

10. Gangs

11. Economic development/more jobs
