Definition of Leadership

People who others follow; demonstrate right from
wrong, provides the path toward the right way, know
what to do when in need, can take charge of anything,
and take responsibility for actions or mistakes.

Class Definition of Community

Community is a group of people living in a specific
area, interacting, and using the resources around them
to become better or worse.

Our Original Agenda

1. Vacant buildings
2. Issues for the physically impaired
3. Crime
4. Public Schools/Charter Schools
5. Business- A big mall in Detroit
6. Better streets and sidewalks
7. Racism
8. Cleaner communities
9. Safer environment
10. Homeless

After research (through newspapers and the internet) we
have narrowed it down to the following five issues

4. Public schools/charter schools
5. Racism

After two members of the class interviewed the mayoral
candidates, the class determined that Kwame
Kilpatrick's platform was more compatible with our
agenda.
